Service Description: This service comprises of administrative boundaries of states and districts of India updated till October 2017. It consistes of polygons of 36 states and 717 districts. Administrative units are codified with census 2011 codes.Updated states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are assigned with code "37" and "36" respecively.Districts formed after 2011 census are coded with numbers 701 onwards. Source of the data is simplified data of 1:50,000 scale topographic map data to display at smaller scales.
